All of my paintings are in oils on canvas stretched over custom birch wood cradled panels.  This art structure allows me to paint with heavy impasto.  I am using both a fine art brush and a palette knife to apply the oil paint. 

The application of thick layers of paint build interesting textures, saturate the colors and help me create the feeling that this painting is alive.  I hope to capture the perception of movement and character of a particular time and place using the most fantastic colors that could be.
